(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Monday, 29 June 2015, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Nottawasaga Detachment, received a report of a Break and Enter that had occurred over the weekend. The business targeted was the South Simcoe Literacy Centre, located at 16 Victoria Street East in Alliston. The incident was reported after an employee discovered items missing when reporting for work Monday morning.
There was no sign of forced entry and OPP are asking neighbouring businesses to review surveillance recordings to see if they can assist in determining any persons entering or leaving the premise after regular business hours.
Items stolen include a small amount of cash, an LCD television and a Dell 5110 Notebook.
If anyone observed suspicious activity at or near this location over the weekend of June 19, 20 or 21, they are asked to contact OPP or you can submit information online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.
