On July 9, 2014 at 12:52 a.m., the Guelph Police responded to a glass break alarm at the LCBO store located at 615 Scottsdale Drive. A quick response from nearby officers resulted in one male being taken into custody after a brief foot chase with officers. The investigation is ongoing; however, a quantity of alcohol was seized and returned to the LCBO.
An 18-year-old Guelph male is facing charges of break enter and theft, breach recognizance, possession of stolen property and flight from police. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on July 9, 2014.
