Break And Enter

(MOOSONEE, ON) – At approximately 7:30 am on April 10, 2015 the Moosonee Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a break and enter into The Regular Stop Bar located on First Street which had occurred over night.

Officers attended the business and commenced their investigation which revealed that entry had been gained by breaking an exterior window. The suspect then entered the building and stole a significant quantity of alcohol.

As a result of this incident police have arrested and charged Terrence IAHTAIL (25) of the Town of Moosonee with the following offences:

Break, and enter a place and commit an indictable offence contrary to Section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Mischief under $5000 contrary to Section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Theft under $5000 contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Three counts of breach of probation contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was held in custody and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on April 14, 2015 for bail.
