(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) -On July 3, 2014 at approximately 8:37 p.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring speeds on Highway 6 North near Laird Road, Guelph. A 2004 Mazda 3 was observed travelling well above the posted speed limit of 80 km/h.
The officer locked the male driver on radar at 147 km/h.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Brady MALLEN age 19 of Guelph is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on Aug. 20, 2014 to answer to the charge.
