(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On Sunday June 17, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Second Line, south of Elora. The officer observed a male driving a red passenger vehicle at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 60 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 110 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 50 km/h.
46-year-old Bradley MARTIN of Woolwich has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on August 1, 2018. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
