(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Monday November 04, 2013 at approximately 5:30 pm officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to assist with a structure fire in Carnarvon, Township of Minden Hills Ontario. Police arrived at Carnarvon Bowl and Billiards located at the intersection of Highways 118 and 35 and observed the building completely engulfed in flames. Fire crews from Minden Hills, Stanhope, Dorset and Dysart responded in efforts to save the structure. No persons were injured as a result of the fire. OPP had a section of Highway 118 closed temporarily due to the heavy smoke and the large number of emergency response vehicles at the scene. The Office of the Fire Marshall is continuing the investigation.
