(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On December 3, 2016 at 3:30 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complainant on a motor vehicle on Kings Highway 11 in Dawson Township. Shortly after officers received another complaint that the motor vehicle had left the roadway before coming to rest on railway tracks belonging to Canadian National Railway.
The driver, Bobby Joe WILSON, age 36 years from Rainy River, subsequently Wilson was transported to hospital for minor injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory 7 days. The driver was subsequently charged with,
-Driving While Ability Impaired
-As well as Fail to Provide a Breath Sample
He will appear in Fort Frances Provincial Court on January 16, 2017 to answer to the charge.
