(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Sunday morning, June 7, 2015 at Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marine Unit was patrolling the waters of Georgian Bay off Balmy Beach Road in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
A Grummund 40 hp aluminum fishing vessel was checked and officers found several violations under the Canada Shipping Act (CSA).
Eric John BERCHTOLD, 27, of the Township of Georgian Bluffs, was charged with CSA 2001 – SVR 5(1)(a) (a) Operating vessel with safety equipment not in good working order.
