(LAKE HURON, ON) – On July 5, 2014 at 11:41 am, members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) marine unit were patrolling the waters of Lake Huron when they stopped to perform a vessel inspection. The officers found the power boat was lacking safety equipment. The operator, a 65 year old North Huron Township man, was fined under the Canada Shipping Act – Small Vessel Regulations.
