(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marine and Trails Unit (MTU) are investigating a boat crash on Lake of the Woods.
Police were called on Saturday September 27, 2014 at around 9:30 pm and advised that two men had struck a reef after going fishing from a resort in the Monument Bay area of Lake of the Woods. The men had contacted people at the resort advising they were stranded and one of them was injured.
The men were located by the resort owner around 2:00 am on September 28 and transported to a hospital in the United States with non-life threatening injuries. Both men are from Minnesota.
The investigation is continuing.
