(PICKLE LAKE, ON) – On March 21, 2014 officers of the Pickle Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an intoxicated male driver leaving a local hotel.
At 3:19 pm, the officer observed the subject driving his vehicle near Koval St in Pickle Lake. The driver, Bill Frank WABASSE, age 53 years of Webequie First Nation was arrested for Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the use of an Approved Screening Device. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded. The accused was transported to Pickle Lake Detachment and subsequently charged with Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pickle Lake on April 17, 2014.
