On September 11, 2013 at 12:30 p.m., members of the Guelph Police Bike Unit were patrolling the path behind the River Run Centre and located six youths. The youths, on their lunch break, were found to be partaking in drug use and were arrested. A search subsequent to arrest discovered approximately five grams of marihuana and some drug paraphernalia. The marihuana and drug paraphernalia have been seized for destruction. The youths were released without criminal charges but were returned to their school to be dealt with by the school administrators.
