(FERGUS, ON) – On June 1, 2015 at approximately 08:25 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist at Belsyde Ave. and St. David St. S. in the town of Fergus.
Investigation revealed the cyclist had been riding eastbound through the crosswalk on Belsyde Ave and was struck by a vehicle turning at the intersection.
The cyclist was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. There was minor damage to the vehicle and no charges were laid.
