(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 26-year-old male after police stopped a motor vehicle at a Norfolk County Road 45, Houghton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, December 3, 2016, at approximately 11:00 a.m., police were conducting a collision investigation involving a motor vehicle and a deer, when a pickup truck stopped to retrieve the deceased animal from the roadway. The driver of the pickup truck drew the attention of investigating officers and was subsequently stopped and investigated.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 26-year-old Benjamin Robert STEIN of Norfolk County, Ontario with driving while under suspension and drive motor vehicle-no currently validated permit.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
