(Cornwall) – This past weekend Baxtrom’s Independent Grocer was instrumental in the success of Seaway Valley Crime Stoppers getting the message out to area residents. Program coordinator O.P.P. Const. Pete Robertson and members of the Crime Stopper board set up an information booth in the grocery store; they handed out information pamphlets and answered questions about the program.
Crime Stoppers also provided a gift basket for anyone who was interested in filling out a ballot, the lucky winner of the $100.00 gift basket was Lena Beriault of Cornwall, On.
O.P.P Const. Pete Robertson stated “its community partners like this that will enable the program to continue to be a valuable crime fighting tool in the places we live and workâ€Â.
