On Sunday September 27, 2015, Barrie Police received a call to attend the Plaza at 37 Mapleview Drive W. The caller reported that on Friday the 25th about 8pm he parked his vehicle in the plaza lot to do some shopping. When he came back about 40 minutes later someone had entered his vehicle and stolen about 3500 rounds of ammunition he had recently picked up. Anyone who may have observed this theft is asked to call the Barrie Police at 705-725-7025.

At just prior to 4am on Saturday 26th Sept Barrie Police were alerted to a possible Break & Enter at a community hall in central Barrie. Officers were on scene at Maple Ave within a few minutes and on investigation found a male inside the building.
Officers noted that damage had been done to the building that would require repair and specialist cleaning equiptment before the community centre could be used again.
The 26 year old male was arrested and charged with Break & Enter with Intent. He was held to appear before Bail Court.

Date: Friday, September 25, 2015 – 11:30pm
Just before midnight on Friday 25th Sept a 21 year old Barrie man entered Papa Johns on Yonge Street Barrie. He was wearing a mask and brandished a knife as he demanded money.
The owner refused to cooperate and chased the male as he fled the store. The accused was caught just outside of the store and held pending police arrival. Police arrested the accused and after noting that he had minor facial injuries he was tranported to hospital briefly for medical attention.
The accused was charged with Robbery and held to appear before Bail Court.
