On Friday April 3, 2015, Police received a call to check the well-being of an adult male. Officers attended an address on Weber St W in Kitchener where a man had barricaded himself inside an apartment. The Special Response Unit attended and successfully negotiated with him to leave the apartment. He was taken to hospital for care under the Mental Health Act.
