(Tweed, ON) – On May 26, 2015 members of Central Hastings O.P.P Crime Unit charged a 31 year old man of No Fixed Address in relation to the Bank of Montreal robbery that occurred one day prior in the Municipality of Tweed.
The male was arrested at 4:40 p.m. in the City of Peterborough by members of Peterborough-Lakefield Police Service.
He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville today for a bail hearing charged with the following offences:
· Robbery With Violence
· Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle
· Flight While Pursued by Police Officer
· Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000
The stolen Dodge pickup truck involved in the incident was recovered in Fraserville, just outside of the City of Peterborough.
Investigators express their appreciation to the media for their assistance and to the members of the public who contacted police with valuable information.
