A 22 year old Chatham male is being held in police custody pending a bail hearing after being arrested and charged with six (6) criminal offences. The accused party has previously entered into a recognizance not to communicate or associate with the 22 year old female victim. It is alleged the accused has made attempts to contact the victim over the course of the past weekend. Police were also informed the accused attended the victim’s residence in Chatham where he proceeded to break into the residence and cause damage to the victim’s property. As a result the accused has been located, arrested and charged with Breach of Recognizance (x4), Uttering Threats to Cause Bodily Harm as well as Break, Enter and Commit Mischief.
