[NORFOLK COUNTY] ATV RIDER ASSAULTED – MALE CHARGED 2014-07-17 (NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 64 year old male after police received a report of an incident that occurred at a Front Road, Charlottteville, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, July 11, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m., an All- Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was travelling in a back wooded area when a male emerged and stopped the rider.
Through investigation it has been determined that the ATV operator and male became involved in a verbal altercation which then turned into a physical confrontation. During the incident a weapon was produced resulting in damage to the ATV.
As a result of police investigation a male was subsequently arrested and charged.
Charged with assault with a weapon, assault and mischief under $5000 dollars is 64 year old Clifford ZIMMERMAN of Norfolk County, Ontario.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
