(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Sunday March 30, 2014, around 7 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol, observed a three wheeled All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), travelling east bound on Line 49, east of Perth Road 135 north of Rostock. The male operator of the ATV and his male passenger were both not wearing helmets. The officer pulled over the ATV, spoke to the males and discovered numerous violations. The ATV was found to be mechanically unfit, and failed to have insurance. The ATV was towed from the scene and has been held for a seven day impoundment.
The passenger, a 22 year old male from the Township of Perth East was issued a ticket for failing to wear a proper helmet”. The driver a 22 year old male from the Township of Perth South was ticketed for “failing to wear a proper helmet”
