(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On July 29, 2014 at 9:12pm officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment responded to an ATV collision on Young Road, in the Ward of Athol. OPP were assisted by the Prince Edward County Fire department and Paramedics.
The police investigation revealed that the ATV operator was travelling North on Young Road when they lost control, leaving the roadway and struck a tree. The operator was not wearing their helmet. Alcohol was not involved.
A 23-year old woman from Belleville was transported to hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The police investigation is continuing.
