(PERTH, ON) – On Friday, December 6, 2013, officers of the Lanark County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence in Montague Township in relation to a domestic violence incident .
As a result, a thirty-nine (39) year old Montague Township man has been arrested and charged with criminal offences including:
1. Attempt Murder,
2. Forcible Confinement,
3. Assault with a Weapon,
4. Pointing a Firearm and
5. Unlawful Transfer of a Firearm.
He is scheduled to appear today, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Smiths Falls.
The names of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
