Assault X2

Barrie Police were called to a disturbance on McDonald Street. The caller told police that the accused was drunk and got into a physical altercation with other tenants. Investigating officers determined that the 44 year old accused had a verbal argument with two other tenants which escalated to a physical assault. The accused pushed one male into a pane glass door causing it to break and the victim suffered a cut to his right arm.

The victim was taken to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Center and received several stitches and was later released.

The accused then punched a second man in the side of the head. He did not require medical attention. Police arrested the accused for 2 counts of assault. He was taken into custody and held for a Bail hearing on December 15th in answer to the charges. He was drunk, loud and uncooperative with police throughout this incident.
