(SOUTH PORCUPINE, ON) -On June 24, 2015, Matheson Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 572 in Hislop Township. As a result of this police investigation the driver was charged with driving under suspension, pursuant to section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA).
On July 1, 2015, police again were on routine patrol and observed the same vehicle travelling on Highway 11, Playfair Township. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was again charged pursuant with section 53(1) of the HTA for driving under suspension. The vehicle was impounded.
As a result ARVI KAUKO HANNINEN, 64, of Holtyre, ON, is scheduled to appear in Timmins Provincial Offences Court on August 13, 2015 to answer to the charges against him.
