Date: Sunday, December 15, 2013 – 11:00pm
On the 15th of December 2013, police were called to a Black Cherry Cr. residence regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned that a common-law couple had been involved in a physical altercation. It is alleged that the male after arguing verbally grabbed the female and pushed her up against the wall. As the female attempted to break free of the struggle, the male then threw her to the ground and kicked her while wearing steel toe boots. The female was then picked up, the altercation continued towards the front porch of the house where it was alleged the female was pushed off the front stairs and kicked again when she fell to the ground.
Other persons in the residence then broke up the struggle, placed the male in a motor vehicle and drove away with him in order to get him away from the area. Police were contacted and responded to the residence where evidence of the assault and information on the suspect vehicle were obtained. Police K9 unit observed the suspect vehicle fleeing from the area. The vehicle was followed and later stopped where the male suspect was identified and subsequently arrested for assault.
The 26 year old male was held pending a bail hearing for one count of domestic assault.
