Argument over finances leads to charges.
At approximately 11:00 pm, Owen Sound Police attended a 16th Street East apartment building in regards to a couple fighting. A 27 year old Owen Sound man became upset with his common-law spouse after arguing over money issues. The man proceeded to break a DVD stand and some other items in the apartment. He then proceeded to push his common-law spouse onto the broken DVD stand. The man’s mother was called and attended and upon seeing what had occurred called police. The man was arrested and held for WASH Court on Saturday for charges of assault and mischief. The common-law spouse sustained no injuries. The total value of the damages was estimated at $100.
