(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Nov 4, 2015 at approximately 12:00am, an officer from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling over the posted speed limit on Highway 35 at Caravan Lane in the Township of Minden Hills. Through further investigation the officer located a small quantity of suspected marihuana in the vehicle.
The female driver, Daniella LOKSTEI-GIRONDA, 21 years of age of Scarborough, ON is charged with Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The female passenger, Carolina LAI, 21 years of age of Scarborough, ON is charged with Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis Marihuana-under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
LAI is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on December 2, 2015.
