Another Dumbass Hunter Loses Shotgun

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident at a Concession 6, Woodhouse, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, December 5, 2016 at approximately 6:42 p.m., police received a call from a concerned hunter reporting a lost firearm.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a 48-year-old male of Oshawa, Ontario was hunting in Norfolk County, Ontario in the area of Concession 6, when he placed the unloaded shotgun into a carrying case and put it in the rear bed of a pickup truck.

The male then drove to another address and realized that the tailgate on the truck had been left down resulting in the shotgun falling out onto the roadway. Pieces of the gun case were located however unknowns removed the firearm.

The gun is described as a Remington, pump action shot gun.

Police urging the individual that stopped and picked up the weapon to contact police in order to make arrangements to turn it in so that it can be returned to its rightful owner.

The Norfolk County OPP detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact police 1-888-310-1122.
