(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while conducting RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) on 10 December 2016 on Grand River Street North in The County of Brant.
At approximately 1:55 a.m. police stopped a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu as it attempted to avoid the RIDE check.
Police determined through investigation that the driver had been drinking alcohol and the male driver was arrested.
OPP investigators have charged 25-year-old Ryan CRONK of Oxford County with driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charge. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
