(NORTH HURON, ON) – A traffic stop on Amberley Road near Whitechurch has led to a three day driver’s licence suspension, a speeding charge and a ticket for having an expired validation sticker for a 50 year old male from Huron-Kinloss Township. At approximately 10:20 p.m. on October 11, 2013 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped the driver of a speeding Volkswagen sports utility vehicle that was travelling 46 km/h over the 80 km/h limit.
Upon speaking with the driver it was noted he had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension. Officers also noticed the validation sticker on the licence plate had expired. The 50 year old male driver was charged and served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.
