On the 29th of Jasnuary 2014, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit and Community Drug Action Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in Angus. As a result a 50 year old Essa Township female was arrested. Police seized over $1500.00 cash, morphine pills, hydromorphine pills, dilaud pills and clonazepam pills ( which are all listed as scheduled drugs in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act).
Approximately 80 grams of marihuana was also seized. The total street value of the drugs is approximately $2000.00. The accused is scheduled to appear in Bradford Court on the 27th of March, 2014 to face charges of, “Possession of a schedule 1 drug for the purpose of traffickingâ€Â, “Possession of a schedule II drug for the purpose of traffickingâ€Â, Trafficking in a schedule I drug†and Posession of property obtained by crime.
