(RED LAKE, ON) – Officers of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) laid another charge of Impaired Driving in December.
On December 24, 2015 officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 105, just north of the Chukuni River Bridge. Investigation revealed that the driver had been consuming alcohol and a roadside demand was made. The driver failed the test and was subsequently returned to detachment for further testing. Angela KOEHLER, 55, of Ear falls has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 contrary to Section 253(1)(a) and (b) of the Criminal Code. She was released by way of a Promise to Appear in Red Lake court on March 2, 2016.
The OPP reminds motorists that operating a vehicle under the influence of any amount of alcohol is dangerous and jeopardizes your own safety as well as the safety of others.
