(GUELPH/ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 26, 2014 at approximately 2:47 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a single motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 124 near the Third Line of Guelph/Eramosa Township. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the male driver who was in the process of changing the tire on his 2005 Pontiac. While speaking with the driver police determined that he was impaired by alcohol and he was placed under arrest. He was transported to a local Operations Centre for further testing.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
Andrew Jackson age 27 of Halton Hills has been charged with Impaired Care or Control and Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 23, 2014 to answer to the charges.
