(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On October 6, 2015, at approximately 11:54 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle travelling eastbound on Longwoods Road, near Carriage Road, at a high rate of speed.
Officers initiated a traffic stop, but the blue BMW sport utility vehicle (SUV) failed to stop for police.
The SUV was subsequently located on Wonderland Road, in the City of London, Ontario. The 18-year-old male driver was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment.
As a result of the police investigation, Amir MEDDAOUI, from London, Ontario, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and flight while pursued by police, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to appear in the London courts to answer to the charges on November 16, 2015.
