(QUNTE WEST, ON) – On Thursday September 12, 2013 members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), OPP Canine, and members of the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at 63 King St. # 1 Trenton Ward, City of Quinte West.
Alton SMITH, 19, of Toronto has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Marihuana and Oxycodone, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Mischief, and Failing to Comply with a Recognizance.
A young female is charged with drug related offences and Failing to Comply with a Recognizance. Her name will not be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
Police seized approximately $3595 of cocaine, marihuana, and oxycodone, $1100 cash, and numerous cell phones.
Both were held in custody for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville, on September 13, 2013.
The Investigation is continuing.
