(GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – On October 12, 2015 at approximately 7:59 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Highway 6 near Side 6, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A male driving a 2014 Kia was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 146 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
23-year-old Alexander LEWIS of Erin has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 18, 2015.
