(NORTH HURON, ON) – Two thefts were likely prevented early this morning when two home owners scared away some would be thieves. Just before 6:30 a.m. a Dodge pickup entered a circular driveway located on Zion Road. A male suspect exited the vehicle, a Dodge pickup, and proceeded to open the door of a pickup that was parked in the laneway. The property owner observed what was taking place and immediately yelled at the suspicious male. The suspect hopped into the pickup and sped off striking a utility trailer that was parked in the laneway. The suspect vehicle, a Dodge pickup may have damage to the rear passenger side area.
Not too far away another resident had a similar experience. Around the same time a pickup truck entered the laneway at her Beecroft Line home. The home owner’s wireless driveway alarm system sounded and alerted the owner to the pickup coming down the laneway. She activated the home exterior lights and immediately the truck quickly drove off.
One of the suspects was observed to be a white male, tall and skinny with a brush cut.
