(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -The operator of an electric E-bike was charged with a liquor related offence after an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) approached and initiated an investigation.
On November 2, 2013 an OPP officer observed an electric E-bike in the Fenelon Falls area. The investigation revealed that the male operator of the E-bike had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was in possession of an open container of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation Brendan HALL, 20 years of age, was charged with having an open container of liquor, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act. The accused was issued an offence notice and the alcohol was seized.
