Alcohol And Marijuana At Public School

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On May 9, 2015 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Lady Eaton Public School, in Omemee, in response to a complaint.

Upon arrival on scene officers observed numerous youths in the area along with various containers of open alcohol. While investigating the offence of underage drinking, an officer found one male to be in possession of marihuana.

As a result of the investigation Lucas RIOUAL, 20 years of age, of Janetville, was charged with possession of marihuana, under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on June 11, 2015.
