91 Year Old Pedestrian Struck In Crosswalk Succumbs To Injuries – Pedestrian Safety Is A Life And Death Issue

On October 28, 2016 at 2:30 p.m., a 91-year-old Kitchener man was struck by a motor vehicle while crossing the intersection of Vanier Drive and Shelley Drive in Kitchener. The motor vehicle was being driven by a 36-year-old Kitchener woman who was travelling east on Shelley Drive. The collision is believed to have taken place in the crosswalk. The pedestrian was taken to Grand River Hospital and later transferred to Hamilton General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, October 29, 2016.
