(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On December 28, 2016, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a structure fire on Grey Road 31 near Road 67B the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The only occupant of the home, an 89-year old male, was able to exit the residence safely and call 9-1-1 from a neighbour’s home. There were no injuries reported.
Grey County OPP, the Clearview Township Fire Department and local Paramedic Services attended the scene. The two storey, board and batten farm house was totally engulfed and destroyed by the fire which did not appear to be suspicious.
