(Oro-Medonte, ON)- On Saturday December 27th at 8:05 pm, Barrie Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle in the ditch on the 5/6 Side Road in Oro-Medonte Twp.
A red Toyota Echo had entered the ditch, striking a large rock and trees before entering a farmer’s field. Tracks indicate the vehicle had spun around attempting to exit the field but were unable to negotiate the large rock on exit. Investigation into the condition of the driver revealed that he was operating this motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Charged with Impaired Operation and Exceed 80 mgs is Jose TRINIDAD 76 years old from Barrie. His licence was suspended for a period of 90 days under the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) program and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie o nJanuary 19th.
