(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Sunday, May 29, 2016 at approximately 5:43 pm, Officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 130 and Arthur Street West.
The driver of a Subaru was west bound on Arthur Street West when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Highway 130 and collided with an eastbound tractor trailer (an empty cattle hauler).
The driver of the Subaru sustained non life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.
The 74 year old female driver of the Subaru has been charged with Left Turn – Fail to Afford Reasonable Opportunity to Avoid a Collision contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
