73 Year Old Charged With Assault And Threats

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Last evening shortly after 10 pm officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault occurring in the Fowlers Corners area.

After an investigation, 73 year old, Douglas ALLEN of Omemee is charged with the following offences:

Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Uttering Threats contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CCC

The accused has been held in custody and will appear in Lindsay for a bail hearing this morning.
