(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a school bus and a pickup truck on May 6, 2016 on Road 88 at the 45th Line in Zorra Township.
At approximately 3:50 p.m. the collision was reported to police. The school bus was crossing Road 88 when the bus was struck by a pickup truck travelling westbound on Road 88 at the 45th Line.
There were 5 children on the Elgie Lines school bus.
Three children were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. All others were uninjured.
The 66-year-old male driver of the school bus, Allan MATHESON of Embro was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Fail to Yield.
