(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – Members of the Temiskaming Crime Unit in conjunction with the North Bay Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of a 31 year-old man.
On January 15, 2015 at approximately 2:30 p.m. police stopped a vehicle that was travelling northbound on Highway 11, in Temagami.
Through investigation, police seized a large quantity of cannabis marihuana and currency. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $57,000.
Christopher BONNEY of Latchford is charged for Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury, on February 3, 2015.
