52 Year Old From North Huron Facing Possession Of Stolen Property Charge – Name Released

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On February 1, 2018 at approximately 5:40.m. a member of Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) located a vehicle on Elora Street, Town of Harriston bearing an Ontario Marker that had been reported stolen.

Officers spoke with the male passenger and female driver. While determining identities of the two parties the male party initially falsely identified himself to police. Further investigation revealed that the male passenger was in breach of conditions of a previous release.

52-year-old Petranella DOWNES of North Huron has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime under $5000. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 6, 2018.

44-year-old Sidney Weldon PRINCE of Brampton has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held for bail.
