(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) – Today at approximately 11:37 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Mapleton Fire/Rescue and the Town of Minto Fire Department responded to a report of a barn fire located on Concession 12 near Wellington Road 9 in Mapleton Township.
The barn was fully engulfed when fire crews arrived on scene.
Approximately 50 cattle perished in the fire.
Concession 12 remains closed between Side Road 3 and Side Road 6 at this time while fire crews continue to battle the blaze.
