(CITY OF TEMISKAMING SHORES, ON) – On September 25, 2015 at approximately 11:30 a.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the hospital in response to a child being injured while riding on a tractor travelling on Maybrook Road in Harley Township.
The 5 year-old passenger of New Liskeard was transported to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Through investigation the driver of the tractor is facing drinking and driving charges.
A 31 year-old man from New Liskeard is charged with Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content Cause Accident with Bodily Harm – section 255(2.1) of the Criminal Code and Driving While Ability Impaired Cause Bodily Harm – section 255(2) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on November 10, 2015.
